All In - the Mikayla Long story

“I’m all in for whatever it looks like to be committed to sharing the gospel in my hometown.”
— Mikayla Long
Now…
Mikayla works for My Life Matters, a non-profit ministry in Roxboro that raises up student leaders to follow Jesus and lead those around them. She also is very involved in her church and runs a bible study for young adults. Her love for her town runs deep, not because of what is in it, but because of who is in it. Mikayla finally found a way to be a part of something bigger than her town, bigger than herself. When you’re serving God, no matter how tiny the town, you’re automatically a part of the biggest ‘something’ ever.
“People in small towns, much more than in cities, share a destiny.”
- Richard Russo
I chose to create my digital story on my friend Mikayla because of the encouragement I found in her story. Coming from the same town as Mikayla, I find her story to be an inspiring one of how trusting God will get you farther and fill you with more joy than you ever thought possible. I hope others find her story just as compelling.
